A Votive Light at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal represents your spiritual presence near Mary’s Altar. It represents your prayerful petition for her intercession, and your thanksgiving for favors received. As with other sacramentals, a Votive Light is an ordinary object. But when used in conjunction with prayer and faith, the object brings grace into our lives, as well as bringing graces into the lives of those for whom we pray.
