Praise the Lord!

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Alleluia! Hallelujah!

The words handed down to us from the Greek and Hebrew mean “Praise the Lord!”

During the Easter season, we rejoice in Christ’s death and resurrection, glorifying the Lord for having paid the price for our sins and opening for us the gates of heaven. Easter celebrates the reason we live in confident hope that we will one day be forever united with Jesus, Mary, the saints, and those who have gone before us in faith.

The Association of the Miraculous Medal invites you to share this joyous “Alleluia” with loved ones by using the Easter cards. Special relatives or friends may come to mind. Perhaps someone who lives far from family may be isolated this Easter due to illness, age, or in need of prayer. In addition to the “Alleluia” we proclaim, each card offers your recipient an Easter gift of prayerful remembrance.

Please return the names of your Easter card recipients to me. We will lift up those dear to you during AMM’s octave of Masses, which begins on Easter Sunday and concludes on Divine Mercy Sunday, here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You may also request a Votive Light to burn for your loved ones. We will ask the Holy Mother of God to intercede for them and their needs before the Resurrected Lord.

Daily, AMM members share how Mary’s  intercession has brought graces and blessings into their lives. In their own words …

I have received all kinds of Mass cards for different occasions, like birthdays, etc. But this beautiful card and octave of Easter Masses is really great. I have never been so excited. I can’t put the card down. It’s like I have received the octave from Our Blessed Mother herself. Have a blessed Easter.

Mother Mary was with me in a car accident in 2004. When she said, “wake up,” my eyes opened … the car was an accordion, smashed between two others. But I stepped out onto the street and walked home … On Easter of 2013, I was confirmed in the Church and adopted by Saint Nicole (patron of lost family members), and today I help guide forensic research of missing persons. Thank you, Jesus!

You can sense the joyous “Alleluia” shining through these messages.

We are happy to send you Easter cards. Simply request them before March 11 by calling us at 1-800-264-MARY (6279), Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., CT. You may also request additional cards by visiting our website, www.amm.org, or by emailing ammfather@amm.org.

Christians are called to share the good news of redemption in Jesus. Easter is the perfect opportunity to do so. May God bless your efforts to serve him, and may he draw you ever closer to himself.

Yours in the risen Christ,

P.S.  Any charitable offering you include enables AMM to continue its work of bringing Jesus Christ to the world by inspiring devotion to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We are grateful for your support.
