Honor Mary by Attending AMM’s May Procession
We invite you to this special event during a spring visit to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal!
This year’s Procesión de Mayo will take place on Sunday, May 3, beginning at 1:00 p.m., CT, on our historic Shrine campus in Perryville, Missouri.
Read Fr. Clay’s letter to learn more.
The May Procession has been a cherished annual tradition for 105 years. Hundreds of AMM members and friends gather in prayer to honor Our Blessed Mother, joyfully and solemnly entrusting their hearts to her. We hope you will attend and bring a group of family, friends, or church acquaintances. All ages are welcome to take part in this beautiful tradition.
The Perryville Shrine grounds are fully accessible to people of all abilities. A gently rolling Rosary Walk, with rest stops along the way, is accessible by wheelchair.
If you are unable to attend in person, you may add your personal intentions here for remembrance in prayer during the May Procession and throughout the month of May.
Following the procession at 3:00 p.m., a Spanish Mass will be celebrated inside the Shrine Church. The Liturgy will include the Rite of Investiture in the Miraculous Medal and live music.
The crowning of Mary, Mother of God, will also take place on May 3 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Los Angeles at the 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m., PT., Masses. If you live near here, please consider attending one of these Masses.
Any gift you share in support of Our Lady’s ministry at AMM will be used to educate more people about Mary and — through her — bring them into closer union with her Son. Your contribution also supports Vincentian priests and brothers in their varied ministries and helps form tomorrow’s clergy. Thank you for your generosity.
Call the Shrine at 800-264-MARY (6279) if you would like to receive some resources to help plan a visit to the National Shrine, including guides to finding excellent local food, lodging, and other area sights to see. We hope to see you on May 3!
