Mother of Divine Grace Novena of Masses Begins Tuesday, July 14

Send your petitions and burn Votive Lights at Our Lady’s National Shrine here in Perryville, Missouri, during the Association’s annual Mother of Divine Grace Novena. Your petitions will be remembered in our daily Mass and prayers throughout the nine days of the novena and on the Feast of the Mother of Divine Grace, Thursday, July 23. You are also invited to pray with us for Our Lady’s intercession throughout the novena. This beautiful devotion can lift your mind and heart to contemplate the eternal joy that awaits you in Mary’s presence at her Son’s side in heaven.

Send Them to School with a Sign of Your Love and Faith

Join members of Mary’s Association in praying for students and educators as they return to the classroom. You may share the names and/or burn a Votive Light for those you’d like remembered in the daily Mass and prayers offered at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal throughout the coming school year. You may request Back to School Votive Light cards to share with special students and teachers.

As Fr. Clay’s letter reminds us, you give a gift of priceless value in asking Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, to watch over those you love along their educational pathway this school year.

Keep Mary close to your loved ones every day of the school year with a Backpack Mary Medal. This 3/4” tall, pewter Miraculous Medal features a lobster claw clasp that can be attached to a backpack, purse, keychain, or zipper. Available upon request for a suggested offering of $13.

Using Aceite Bendito with prayer is a meaningful moment for a student. We offer a half-ounce bottle of balsam fir-scented olive oil blessed at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal and touched to a relic of Saint Catherine Labouré.  Blessed oil is a Church-approved sacramental. Available upon request for a suggested offering of $19.

Request up to 100 free, blessed Miraculous Medals to distribute to Catholic schoolchildren, educators, and family members. Each comes on a card with a short story about the medal’s origin. (Browse AMM’s online gift shop for more gift options, Votive Light cards, rosaries, and more.)

Celebrate Our Lady’s Birthday

September 8 marks the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The date is fixed exactly nine months after the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. AMM continues its tradition to honor Mary’s birth with an octave of prayer beginning that Tuesday. Our observance runs through the September 12 feast of the Holy Name of Mary and concludes September 15, the Feast of Nuestra Señora de los Dolores.

You are invited to entrust your intentions to the Mother of God. Mary delights in this sign of your faith. You may send petitions for yourself or a loved one or simply express your gratitude for blessings already received. Our spiritual Mother cares for each of us with constant, tender affection. Burning a Votive Light in Our Lady’s honor is an especially fitting gift to the Immaculate Mother of Our Lord. Read Fr. Clay’s letter to learn more about this year’s commemoration.

Assumption Novena of Masses

Please share your prayer intentions for remembrance in our annual Assumption Novena of Masses beginning Thursday, August 6, on which the Church also celebrates the feast of the Transfiguration.

Throughout the nine days, we will call to mind the privilege bestowed upon Mary –– being taken up, “assumed” into heaven, body and soul, declared as official dogma of the Church by Pope Pius XII in 1950.

St. Mary’s of the Barrens Church, home of the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, was lovingly called the “Church of the Assumption” by early parishioners. A majestic depiction of the 4th Glorious Mystery still graces the main Altar. The painting highlights Our Lady’s unique role in the redemption of humanity—Jesus’ own Holy Mother bridges heaven and earth.

Lift up your prayers to God during the Novena of Masses and Solemnity observance. You may also burn a Votive Light as a sign of your spiritual presence with fellow AMM members.

Your intentions will be remembered from August 6-15 at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. We will celebrate Mass on the Solemnity of the Assumption Saturday, August 15, at 12:10 p.m., CT. Oda a la Asunción de María

Father’s Day

Honor the loving fathers, grandfathers, foster fathers, and father figures in your life with the gift of prayerful remembrance at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

Whether living or deceased, share the names of your loved ones here. Each loved one will share in the intercessory prayers offered at the Shrine on Father’s Day and throughout the month of June.

You are invited to join fellow AMM members in praying this Father’s Day prayer.

Our monthly Members’ Novena begins Wednesday, June 3

This nine-day dedication of prayer leads up to the June 12 Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the June 13 Memorial Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

You are invited to place your novena intentions for remembrance in prayer at Mary’s Altar inside the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. You may also burn a Votive Light as a sign of your spiritual presence with us throughout the novena and feast days.

It is our hope that whoever you are praying for—yourself or someone else—will experience hope and peace from Our Lady’s heart to their own, as this Illinois member sought and found:

Dear Father, I am writing this letter in thanksgiving to Our Blessed Mother and her divine Son, Jesus, for answering my prayer and for the miracles for my family and myself. Over the past five years, we have suffered … just about every evil that could come against one family. I began praying to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, and I gave each family member a Miraculous Medal to wear. I cannot begin to tell you how Mother Mary is working through prayer for us … My son has been completely healed from all drug and alcohol addictions. Healings of spirit, body, emotions, and finances are happening constantly. Only prayer could have brought this about … For anyone who is about to give up, I want to say, keep on praying to Our Blessed Lady because your miracle is just around the next prayer.

We invite you to join us in praying the Miraculous Medal Novena Prayer, June 3 – 11.

Celebrate Pentecost with Mary’s Association

“Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”

This year, AMM is focusing on the theme of peace –– sharing Christ’s peace with all the world and everyone we meet. On the day Our Lord bestowed the gift of his Holy Spirit upon the disciples, he greeted them with the message of peace. As the Easter season comes to a close on Pentecost Sunday, may you experience the peace of Christ in your own soul, a peace that can surpass all human understanding.

On Friday, May 15, AMM begins its annual Novena de Misas de Pentecostés here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

Please join your AMM family in prayer, adding your intentions alongside theirs. The petitions you share will be entrusted to Our Lady and rest near the Shrine Altar throughout the novena, concluding with the Solemnity of Pentecost on Sunday, May 24.

You may also burn a Votive Light — a sign of the Spirit at work in your life. May Our Lady obtain for you and your loved ones a generous share in the gifts of the Spirit to draw you ever closer to her Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A Look at This Year’s May Procession

On Sunday, May 3, hundreds of visitors from far and near gathered in prayer at the National Shrine to honor Our Blessed Mother during the annual May Procession.

Father Clay Kilburn led the procession from the Shrine Church to Mary’s grotto, where a floral wreath was presented to Mary. The wreath was made from thousands of silk roses representing the petitions received from members of the Association of the Miraculous Medal.

Member intentions will be remembered throughout the remainder of May.

“O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”

Send Your Special Intentions to Lourdes

From June 23-28, Father Hank Grodecki, C.M., will lead a spiritual pilgrimage to Lourdes, France. The purpose of the pilgrimage is to pray for member intentions, appealing through Our Lady of Lourdes. You are invited to send your petitions for remembrance at the sacred site where Bernadette was visited by the Immaculate Conception. Each day of the pilgrimage, your needs will be lifted up during Masses and Candlelight Rosary Processions. At the same time, AMM’s Spiritual Director, Father Clayton Kilburn, C.M., will be praying for member intentions here at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal.

May you and those you love receive Our Lady’s promised blessings. Did you know that more than six million pilgrims visit Lourdes each year? Saint Bernadette experienced 18 apparitions of the beautiful Lady who identified herself to the teen as “The Immaculate Conception.” Since 1858, many cures and conversions have been attributed to Mary’s intercession at Lourdes.

Join Us for This Year’s May Procession

At the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal

We hope to see you at the Association’s most beloved outdoor devotional service. This year’s May Procession will be held Sunday, May 3, at 1:00 p.m., CT, here in Perryville, Missouri. Joining us in person or in spirit is a wonderful way to honor Our Blessed Mother.

Another way to honor Mary is to support her ministry to spread the Miraculous Medal far and wide. Gifts help share the good news of Our Lady’s promised blessings and favors with thousands more people each year. Contributions also assist with maintaining the beautiful National Shrine Church and grounds.

As we honor Mary throughout the month of May, we look forward to seeing you here at the Shrine, especially on Sunday, May 3.

You may donate here. Or, to make a gift over the phone, call us Monday – Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., CT.
